Cabada's largest icebreaker Louis S St. Laurent arrived St. John's today from Quebec where is was a refit. I am thinking she arrived here to prepare to head North. The ship was launched in 1966, and in service since 1969, she is 369 feet and has three propellers . She has had many refits over the years, and the latest costing $14 million. The Louis tied up at the Coast Guard Base for the first time, this was possible due to funding for dredging so all coast huard ships can tie up there

The weekend was great weather wise and great for picture taking Saturday I was finally able to get some photos of the Atlantic Heron depart and head to the Hebron field. Today I was able to photograph the Ernst Shackleton arrive today in perfect conditions, the ship arrived from Bay Bulls. And lastly passing by Cape Spearwas the yacht Sycara V heading for Torbay.
