The fishing vessel Cape Dorset arrived in St. John's today under tow by the supply vessel Maersk Gabarus. I don't know what the problem is, but she was a dead ship. This is the third time the Cape Dorset has been towed into St. John's.

New ships for Fogo and Bell Island Runs
Local news is reporting today in St. John's. A Dutch company called Damen Shipyards has been awarded the $51 million and the new ship will be able to carry 200 passengers, 60 cars, and will be 80 meters long and will be delivered 2015.
They also announced plans to purchase a 80 meter ferry for the Bell Island run. They will also spent $10 million is wharf improvements at Bell Island and Portugal cove to handle the larger new ferry.
